Word Puzzles – Summer Learning Journey

Kia Ora

This task is where you have to create a word search related to the beach. I did one of what you can see and do at the beach. Click Here to go to my word search. I quite liked finding the words once I had finished, but I hated when I had to think of all the words. THIS IS A LINK to go and see the badges that I have got, that I will be adding onto.

Have you ever made a wordfind before?

What should I do differently next time?

Collectable Cards – Summer Learning

Today I did the collectable cards task for the Summer Learning Journey. It was where you had to draw a card based on a sea creature and then make another one digitally. I made a shark collectables card and named it Sharky, and I made a multi coloured flounder fish named Shelly on my chromebook. I dont really like my fish that much but I still think its pretty cool.

My favourite part was colouring my fish multi coloured, and drawing Sharky.

What animals would you do?

What should I do differently next time?

Collectable Cards – Summer Learning Journey

Today I did the collectable cards challenge, where you had to draw a small batch of pretend collectable cards.  My characters are an Elephant, Horse, Dog, and a giraffe. It was really fun and I would totally do it again. My favourite part was drawing the animals and colouring them in.

Here are my cards,

My favourite animal was Ellie, what about you?

What animals would you do?

Summer Learning Journey – Grej Of The Day

Today I did a Grej Of The Day. Grej means ” Thing” in Swedish, so I’m doing a Thing Of The Day. You have to find something to research about and then create a presentation to share what you’ve learnt. For this task we had to research a ship. I chose the Titanic because I think this ship is so fascinating.

Here is my slideshow,

How much do you know about the Titanic?

🐈‍⬛Pet day / Show day 🙃

On Friday the 29th of November my school had a Pet day / Show day. First we had a pet blessing where we put a hand on our pet and said a prayer. Then we went around the court and saw all the other animals. Someone even brought a super snuggly cat on a lead!

After, we did awards, my puppy, a boxollie, won a prize for the nicest eyes that can just gaze into your soul and really friendly when you pat him.

Then we went in class rotations and saw what other classes did and made crafts. We made butter, animals out of cups, and a bear.

For the class rotations my group made a farm model of the present day. I used my sisters barbies as people.

We also went outside, and there was a army tank, fire truck, and a fancy car. There were also bouncy castles that I raced on with my friends. And even a petting zoo with baby guinea pigs!

It was so fun, my favourite bit was racing on the bouncy castles with my friends.

Have you ever had a pet day before?

🥳Summer learning Journey Kick Start task😝

Wanted Stonefish Poster

Today the summer learning journey released a kick start task for the kids to do. It had to be a warning poster of a Stonefish. I made a poster I felt like would be posted up near the beach, or wherever it was seen. I added little details that brought it together and made this poster.

Have you done a wanted poster before?

What do you think I should do differently next time?

🌊Beach Ed!🏖

On Thursday the 28th of November year 4,5, and 6s went to North New Brighton Surf Life Saving club. We had four instructors, Olivia, Sorell, Adrian and Lucy. We also had Parent helpers, Bodge, Theo, Anna, Louise and My grandad, Ron. We went round in rotations to learn what the lifeguards use and how they use it. One of the tools was how to do CPR, did you know that the beat from Staying alive is the real beat to do CPR?                                                                             To rescue people they use multiple tools such as, IRB, ( inflatable Rescue Tube ) rescue tube, and rescue board. We also learnt how to identify rips,  and learn the rules at the beach. We went swimming later on, it was so fun.

Have you done Beach Ed before?
